Οι πρώτες αντιδράσεις από κριτικούς και λοιπούς ανταποκριτές σε φεστιβάλ κτλ δεν πρέπει να παίρνονται πολύ τις μετρητής. Έχουμε δει συνήθως να βρίσκονται στο ένα ή το άλλο άκρο, με πολλά διαφορετικά αποτελέσματα μετά την κυκλοφορία της ταινίας, και πολλές φορές αντικρουόμενες απόψεις. Κυρίως όταν πρόκειται για ταινίες βασισμένες σε γνωστά comics, έχουμε δει κάποιους να αποθεώνουν την προσπάθεια, ενώ άλλοι "σκληροί" κρητικοί να τη θάβουν, ή να είναι πιο επιφυλακτικοί. Τελευταία είδαμε και για το Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 κάποιους να είναι αρκετά συγκρατημένοι, ανεξάρτητα του ότι η ταινία ήδη είναι αρκετά επιτυχημένη, και μάλλον κανένας δεν την θεωρεί κακή.
Εδώ όμως έχουμε ένα διαφορετικό φαινόμενο: Οι πρώτες εντυπώσεις για το Wonder Woman είναι όλες πολύ καλές! Οι πιο "σκληρές" λένε ότι είναι λίγο απότομο στην αρχή και το τέλος, χωρίς όμως αυτό να ενοχλεί το σενάριο. Κάποιοι λένε ότι είναι η καλύτερη ταινία της DC, μετά το Dark Knight, και "ένα βήμα στη σωστή κατεύθυνση" για τις ταινίες της εταιρίας.
Εδώ στο MoviEyeCandy έχουμε ελπίδες για τη Wonder Woman, όχι γιατί έχουμε κάποιο κόλλημα (οι περισσότεροι) με την αμαζόνα πριγκίπισσα, αλλά γιατί ήταν πολύ εντυπωσιακή στο Batman v Superman, αλλά και γιατί μετά από τρεις ταινίες που δεν ήταν αυτό που θέλαμε, περιμένουμε από τη DC να αρχίσει να μας αποζημιώνει. Ο ανταγωνισμός είναι δύσκολος, με ένα MCU που έχει φτιάξει το όνομά του, και όλες του οι ταινίες (ανεξαρτήτως ποιότητας) είναι επιτυχημένες, αλλά και με τα Justice League και The Batman να έρχονται, και να συναντάνε συνέχεια προβλήματα. Πληροφοριακά το Justice League αυτή τη στιγμή κάνει επαναληπτικά γυρίσματα, και πηγές λένε ότι ουσιαστικά η ταινία θα γυριστεί δύο φορές. Οι αντιδράσεις σε αυτό ήταν, όπως είναι κατανοητό, διφορούμενες.
